Erin Ulrich is the founder and face of Design by Insight, a sought after design and book formatting company with a reputation for quality design, professional client relationships, and personal commitment to each project. Erin and her husband, Phil, work together to create unique WordPress site designs, eye-catching book covers, and interior book layouts for their their clients. Using her ability to ask the right questions, Erin is able to capture the message of a project and translate that into a great design. In addition, Erin’s passion for understanding the ever-changing world of self-publishing gives DBI book clients a real advantage. Erin works closely with each client to ensure their projects are both well-designed and well-formatted.
After seeing a pattern in the questions her clients asked about self-publishing, Erin realized the need for Self-Publish. The book was written to answer these questions and give writers the tools they need to effectively plan their own self-published projects.
Erin and her husband Phil are the authors of The Growly Books, a children’s chapter book series. The self-published first installment, Begin, released in May 2013 with both paperback and Kindle versions available. Erin and Phil are currently at work on the continuing adventures of Growly, with a planned release of book two in November 2013.

Teri Lynne Underwood is a natural encourager and idea slinger who spends most of her days helping others accomplish their goals. Through her social media coaching business, Teri Lynne provides valuable expertise to individuals, small businesses, and non-profits. Her keen insight enables her to provide her clients with effective and efficient social media and online marketing strategies.
In addition, as the author of three full-sized self-published books (Prayers from the Pews: The Power of Praying for Your Church, Parenting from the Overflow, and Self-Publish: Moving from Idea to Product) as well as several shorter e-books, Teri Lynne is an accomplished author with an excellent grasp of the ins and outs of the publishing world. Teri Lynne has been a part of the Design by Insight team since 2011. She has served in several capacities including client relations and social media development. Her current focus for DBI is content development and management.
Teri Lynne and her pastor-husband Scott live in North Alabama with their growing-up-way-too-fast daughter, Casiday, and their lovable but lazy Basset hound, Buddy. Their days are full with watching Casiday dance and cheer, chasing the dog, and working through all the DIY projects with pallets they’ve found through Pinterest.
